Step 1. Start the conversation - Fill out the form below so I can gather information about the size, colours and aspirations for your painting. I’m happy to create a commission based on the subjects of still life, landscape or architecture. Not entirely sure what you want? Fill out as much as you can, and let’s discuss!
Step 2. Quote - Based on the information I gather from you, I’ll send you a quote for the price. I like to offer a few options so you can choose what works best for your budget.
Step 3. Investment and payment - I request a 50% non-refundable deposit upfront and the remaining 50% upon approval and prior to shipping the completed painting. Shipping is not included and can be quoted if and when it applies. Custom painting requires collaboration and a deeper investment in time and energy. Therefore, pricing reflects the additional attention that’s required to create something unique for you, that you feel connected to and cherish.
Step 4. Artistic Process - Part of my process is to enhance elements within the painting, especially colour! For the most part, I stay true to the photo reference, however, artistic license and creativity are what brings the photo to life and makes your painting truly one of a kind!
Alternatively, some people have a photograph ready for me to paint. Whichever photo you choose would be the one I will paint for you.
Due to the nature of watercolour or oil painting, modifications are not feasible after the paint has been applied. If you’d like to see the painting unfold through the process, I’m happy to update you with process photos.
A final image of the painting will be sent to you upon completion. Completion time is usually 10 - 12 days after the initial deposit is received.
